    2024 Morrison County township election results

    Seats on 20 township boards were decided by voters Tuesday, March 12.

    The townships that held elections include: Agram, Belle Prairie, Bellevue, Buckman, Buh, Culdrum, Darling, Granite, Green Prairie, Lakin, Leigh, Little Falls, Motley, Parker, Pike Creek, Platte, Ripley, Swan River, Swanville and Two Rivers. Most elections were for a three-year supervisor term and two-year treasurer term.

    Results of Tuesday’s election include:

    Agram Township: John Boeder was elected to a supervisor position while Don Tschida was reelected as clerk. Each received 10 votes.

    Belle Prairie Township:The township’s 17 voters relected Greg Columbe to a 3-year supervisor position, while relecting Keith Kruschke to another term as clerk.

    Bellevue Township:Duane Doble was re-elected as supervisor with 10 votes and one write-in. Patricia Kasella was re-elected as clerk with 11 votes.

    Buckman Township:IncumbentRalph Hanneken defeated James Meyer 34-7 in a supervisor’s race. Nancy Lanners was reelected as clerk with 34. James Meyer and Alex Stangl each received one vote.

    Buh Township:Incumbent Tim Middendorf was reelected after receiving 19 votes. Duane Schraut receive one write-in vote. Clerk Alicia Cebulla was reelected. She received 21 votes.

    Culdrum:Election results were unavailable.

    Darling Township:Two people were vying for the supervisor seat formerly held by John Tabatt. Randy Swan is the new supervisor after receiving 20 votes. He defeated Ken Kuchinski, who had 14 votes. Tabitha Maher was reelected clerk with 30 votes.

    Granite Township:Nine votes were cast for both Curt Banach for the supervisor position and Eileen Hargrave, who was reelected as clerk.

    Green Prairie Township:Incumbent Dan Maslowski was reelected with all 12 votes cast in the township. Lois Peterschick received all 12 voters to be reelected clerk.

    Lakin:Election results were unavailable.

    Leigh Township:Leigh Township had eight voters with no one filing for positions on the ballot. There were five write-in votes for Wade Wilman for a 3 year term as supervisor. \Wilman has accepted the position. There were two write-in votes for Dan Meyer for a 3-year term as supervisor. There were seven write-in votes for Brenda Luberts for a 2-year term clerk. Luberts also received one write-in vote for treasurer. Luberts accepted the position of clerk. The township board appointed Mel Buesseler as treasurer for a 1 year term.

    Little Falls Township:Charles Pannis was reelected for a 3-year term as supervisor, Bonnie Bieniek was reelected to a two-year term. Carol Doucette was reelected for the treasurer’s seat. All received 31 votes.

    Motley: The results for the Motley Township election are:Supervisor – Incumbent Verde Pepin 12, Write in had 1 vote. There was no one signed up to run for clerk.

    Parker Township:In Parker township, 15 residents voted in township elections. For supervisor, incumbent Randy Rutz was re-elected with 14 votes (one voter did not vote for supervisor). For clerk, incumbent Tammy Kedrowski was re-elected with 9 votes (5 voters did not vote for clerk).

    Pike Creek Township: Incumbent Supervisor Darlene Kroll was reelected with 20 votes and clerk Lisa Turner was re-elected with 22 votes.

    Platte Township:Supervisor Ricky Hebler. Clerk Judy Boser was re-elected with 29 votes. A total of 31 people cast votes in the March 12 election.

    Ripley Township: Incumbent Supervisor Darvin Keehr was reelected to a 3-year term as supervisor and Heather Brill was reelected clerk. Both Keehr and Brill received all of the 21 votes cast by township voters.

    Swan River:Township chairman Tim Zapzalka was reelected with 21 votes. Clerk Katrina Oldakowski was reelected with 21 votes, as well..

    Swanville Township: In Swanville Township incumbent Supervisor Brian Welinski was reelected with 10 votes. Clerk Sherry Welinski was also reelected with 10 votes.

    Two Rivers Township:Supervisor Chairman Ron Leners served the township for over 25 years and unexpectedly passed away on January 2, so Jim Roering was appointed to fill out his term. No one filed the position, or for the clerk position that was on the ballot- so all votes were write ins. There were 66 voters who came out. Jim Roering was elected to the supervisor position and incumbent clerk Gina Salitros was re-elected to the clerk position.
