It is true.  Hard to believe, but true.  America's most beloved Country music star, Dolly Parton teamed up with rapper Pitbull to put a new spin on her well-known hit "9 to 5."

Fox News reported that in February, the country music icon worked with Pitbull on a track called "Powerful Women".  Parton introduces the song and then the entire chorus from "9 to 5" is featured.

The unlikely pair comes in a time when Country is cool.  The co-founder and president of Happy Jack Records told Fox News, "The shift of artists into country music is about creative exploration, reaching new audiences and a genuine appreciation for the genre's storytelling tradition and diversity. Additionally, the boundaries between genres have become much more fluid, allowing artists to experiment and blend a multitude of different styles together."

Appreciation must be at an all-time high with stars like Beyonce, Rod Stewart, Lana Del Rey and Post Malone dipping their toes in the water of Country Music.

Parton originally wrote "9 to 5" for a 1980 movie of the same name that she also starred in with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.  In traditional grateful and humble Dolly style, she gave a shout out to her co-stars at the end of "Powerful Women."

Pitbull stayed true to his genre in the song, but no doubt Dolly's easily recognizable traits and beat will shine.

Pitbull posted about the song and his appreciation of the one and only Dolly Parton.
