    Leesburg police seeking help identifying bank robbery suspect

    Leesburg Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in a bank robbery.

    The suspect is reportedly a black male believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35. He’s about 5’8 and described as a having a medium build.

    According to LPD, the robbery occurred at the Truist bank located at 1007 Edwards Free Rd. NE on October 2 at 3:32 p.m.

    LPD said the suspect was wearing a black Nike shirt, black pants with a white pattern and black shoes. He also had on a cross necklace and baseball cap.

    The baseball cap appears to have words on it, but LPD didn’t provide any information about what it’s believed to say. And it’s not clear from the photos provided.

    The man was wearing a surgical mask during the robbery, LPD reported, and he reportedly demanded cash using a note.

    No information was provided on the means the suspect used to get away from the scene.

    LPD said all tipsters can remain anonymous.

    With all the high-tech equipment in video and photography, why do security companies continue to use the worst quality capture? O right, it's cheaper, and they can charge a ton of money for contracts.
