HOW DOES SEND ME A SAMPLE WORK?

The tool is described as "a completely new innovation in sampling for the voice-activated world."

It allows users to use the Alexa app on their Android or iPhone to voice request a sample.

"We’re adding new brands all the time so make sure to keep an eye out," the platform said on its webpage.

    HOW TO ENABLE THE TOOL

To use the service, first, users need to find the Send Me a Sample skill in the Alexa app directory.

Then you need to create and register your Send Me a Sample account online or via the Amazon Alexa app

From there, anytime you see the Send Me a Sample logo on an advert, you’ll know that it’s available to request.

Just say to your voice assistant: 'Send a Sample,' or 'Open Send Me a Sample.'

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

The best part of the service is that it is completely free, the platform said on its website.

"No catches. There’s no cost to you because brands want you to try their products," they added.

Send Me a Sample also noted that some users might not be eligible for all our campaigns.

For example, only users over 18 or 21, depending on where you are located, can access alcohol samples.

The tool is also only available via Amazon Alexa and voice activation - this means you can't request samples over email or SMS.

    USER REACTIONS

On Amazon's website, the tool has garnered an average rating of 4.1 out of five stars.

"I've gotten so many free samples from send me a sample! I highly recommend it!" one reviewer said.

"I like the fact that it’s so easy to get samples sent directly to me," a second reviewer noted.

"However, I would like to be able to track the delivery or get it in a more timely manner," they added.
