Jimmy Rollins Brings His Winning Spirit to Philadelphia's Restaurant Scene

Philadelphia sports fans have another reason to cheer! Jimmy Rollins, beloved former Phillies shortstop and integral part of the 2008 World Series championship team, is venturing into the restaurant world with Eleven Social. Rollins has partnered with experienced restaurateur Matt DeLima to bring his passion for great food and good times to the City of Brotherly Love.

Eleven Social: Where Good Food Meets Good Vibes

Aiming for a June/July 2024 opening, Eleven Social will offer delicious American cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant will be located at 117 Chestnut St in the vibrant Old City neighborhood, occupying the space formerly home to 2nd Story Brewing Co.

While specifics about the menu are still developing, Rollins and DeLima promise quality dishes and a focus on creating a lively social atmosphere. The historic building offers multiple dining areas, suggesting a variety of experiences within the restaurant.

    Rollins' Legacy Continues

"I've always loved this city," Rollins said in a recent interview. "The fans here are the best, and it feels right to be bringing something new and exciting back to Philadelphia."

Rollins' commitment to the city is no surprise. The star shortstop spent 15 seasons dazzling crowds at Citizens Bank Park with his speed, fielding, and clutch hitting. Now retired, his entrepreneurial drive seems poised to make Eleven Social another Philadelphia success story.

    Get Excited, Philly

More details about the menu, head chef, and exact opening date will be announced in the coming months. For now, Philadelphia can start getting excited about the prospect of dining at a restaurant backed by one of its most cherished sports heroes.
