Weekend Outlook : After a cold start, it will be mostly sunny on Sunday with warmer high temperatures in the lower 70s.

Next Week’s Outlook : Monday will be partly cloudy and mild with highs around 70°. Our next cold front will arrive Monday night into Tuesday. You need to be Weather Aware on Tuesday for heavy rain and gusty winds.

Ahead of the front, there will be a squall line of heavy rain and storms. At this time, it does not look like we will have any severe weather, but a few storms could be strong with gusty winds of 40-60 mph. Rain totals could be over 1-2 inches, and there could be some minor flooding issues.

Right now, the timing of the squall line across Central Alabama will be between 3 AM and Noon. Once we get closer to Tuesday we can fine-tune the timing and impacts. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s.

The rain will end by Wednesday morning, and then we dry out by the afternoon with highs in the upper 60s. Thursday and Friday will be dry with sunshine and highs around 65° to 70° each day.
