Sad Farewell: Retired K9 Fino Passes Away

Halifax County, North Carolina:

There is sad news coming out of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office about a retired K9 Officer.

On Thursday the 21st, in the evening retired Halifax County Sheriff's Officer K9 Fino passed away.

K9 Fino started with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office in 2015 and was assigned to Lieutenant John Bozard. K9 Fino was partners with Lieutenant Bozard for the entirety of his career and served the citizens of Halifax County until his retirement in late 2022.

K9 Fino enjoyed the last few years in retirement living with Lieutenant Bozard and his family. Enjoying life as a retired spoiled member of their family.

The community would like to thank the dedication K9 Fino had, as well as our condolences to Lieutenant Bozard and his family of their loss of their life long-time partner and friend.
