After last week as migrants overwhelmed the Texas National Guard in El Pas, Texas, the White House shared its stance on the event. The White House avoided answering the question about the event and placed all the blame on Governor Greg Abbott.

Abbott took the lead to defend Texas as illegal immigrants were overwhelming the border and the Biden administration avoided taking a direct response on this for close to two years. It wasn’t until two years into Biden’s term that he tried to help with the immigration process. President Biden passed several executive orders to help limit migrants to claim asylum including the CBP One app.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre:

"What does President Biden think should happen to adult men who are assaulting and overpowering U.S. National Guardsmen?"

Karine Jean-Pierre said according to a press release:

“So, l- — I want to be really clear that everyone who was apprehended was apprehended by Border Patrol. They were able to do their job, even though it’s made it more — even though Republican governor — in particular, Governor Abbott — has made it difficult for them.”
“They need more resources. We need more personnel. I mean, we have to have the backs of our law enforcement on the ground are — who are dealing with this every day. But Republicans are getting in the way. Republicans in Congress do not want to help. And you have a governor, Governor Abbott, who is politicizing it. That is what’s happening.”

Republican communications Matt Whitlock commented according to Fox News:

"I'm not entirely sure KJP knows that her boss the President has repeatedly sued the Governor of Texas to prevent him from addressing it."

Since Governor Abbott started to increase National Guard presence and received support from other State Governors, the number of illegal immigrants entering Texas has declined. Other States such as Arizona and California are seeing an increase in migrants entering its borders.

Governor Abbott plans to reinstall the wire in El Paso.

Do you think Governor Abbott has a good plan for dealing with the border?
