Azealia Banks, who you’ve likely never heard of for her musical talents, is at it again.

You are more likely to hear about Banks taking to social media to voice her opinions. In fact, she does this so frequently that BET wrote an article entitled “A Growing List: A Guide to Azealia Banks’ Beefs,”

Billboard wrote “Azealia Banks vs. The World: A Comprehensive List of Her Famous Feuds,” and there are threads dedicated to Banks’ drama on Reddit.

Banks took to her Instagram story to wage an attack on Beyoncé regarding her new album , “Cowboy Carter,” which is set to be released on March 29, dismissing the “Cowboy Carter” era as “white woman cosplay.”

The story was laden with pure vitriol, criticizing the title of the album, a past performance with the Dixie Chicks (now The Chicks), and Jay-Z’s ideas.

“I just wish you would get unobsessed with being boring and pretty all the time.”

Banks says she is “ashamed” of Beyoncé who “switch[ed] from baobab trees and black parade to this literal pick me stuff.” Banks is referring to The Lion King: The Gift track, which Beyoncé executive produced in 2019.

She goes on to say Beyoncé is “reinforcing the false rhetoric that country music is a post civil war white art form” and “subsequently reinforcing the idea that there is no racism, segregation, slavery, violence, theft, massacres, plagues, manifest destiny craziness that form the bedrock of epithets like ‘proud to be an American,’ or ‘god bless the usa.’”

Banks must be a musical success to be giving Beyoncé criticism, right? See Banks’s awards compared to Queen Bey’s below:

Her claim to “fame” is her song “212”, released on her 1991 - EP in 2012. The song did not reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart yet received some limited international success.

Recently, Banks also weighed in on a feud between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, arguing that it was “about Jay-Z” (Beyoncé’s husband of 15 years). Banks went on to allude that there was an extramarital affair going on between Minaj and Jay-Z.

Can Banks ever admit she’s in the wrong? Sort of. According to NME , in another recent incident, Banks apologized for comments she had made about Lizzo’s body, saying, she “realised [sic] that I owe Lizzo a huge apology for popping so much (expletive).” However, in the same message, she calls Troye Sivan an “expired twink.”

Beyoncé has not yet issued any statement regarding Banks’ Instagram dissertation.

We’re all on the edge of our seats, waiting to see who Banks tries to pick a fight with next in the sad attempt to keep herself relevant.
