Who should play Bruce Springsteen? 'The Bear' star Jeremy Allen White appears to be a favorite

A film surrounding the career of Bruce Springsteen appears to be in the works and the search for an actor to play The Boss is officially underway.

According to reports, former chairman of Netflix Films, Scott Stuber , is in talks with Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson to make an adaptation of the Warren Zanes book, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, which focuses on Springsteen’s creative journey toward his 1982 album, Nebraska .

As Stuber works to finalize logistics with surrounding the film, the search for an actor to play Springsteen has started and it seems The Bear star, Jeremy Allen White is at the top of the list. While no official negotiations have taken place, the rumored plan is to have White start filming in New Jersey directly following his completion of Season 4 for The Bear in June.

Whether hopes for White follow through or not, fans can expect that whoever plays the part will have the stamp of approval from The Boss as he and his manager, Jon Landau , are heavily involved in the project.
