Jake Hession is amazing! he works with one of my dtrs, who is nearly 15 and was adopted by us a few years back after a very troubling childhood. because of this, she is left with a lot of mental health issues and behavioral challenges that have been really tough for her. Jake has this uncanny ability to meet at their level and truly understand where they're coming from. then, he comes to us and decodes the info in a way that we can also see it from their view. it can be tough to do sometimes, especially when the frustration of bad behavior and choices comes into play, but to be told the reality from a different lens and then he sticks around to work through problems with all, is so helpful. he is in constant communication with us, he's open to parents reaching out at any time when there is a concern and will do everything he can to help figure things out. he's just truly phenomenal and goes above and beyond for us, so I have to assume he does the same for everyone else he works with
