Coco & Jules Cookies , a San Diego-based bake-to-order cookie company operating out of a certified CFO kitchen, is planning to open a new storefront in Normal Heights at 3415 Adams Ave.

The company has been working out of a cottage kitchen for the past five years, according to Co-owner Julie Mussil , who tells What Now San Diego that they initially thought they would open at the end of April or sometime in May, but until the permits are approved and the city gives the green light, an exact opening date is to be determined. When the new sweet shop brick-and-mortar opens later this year, it will move into the former home of a barbershop called Cut & Style.

Customers can expect a variety of delicious cookie flavors, with occasional limited-time holiday flavors. Last Christmas, the company sold out of its holiday inventory in mid-December, including a Kiss Krinkle Cookie. The company has become known for its many delicious flavors, such as the Summertime Lemonade Sugar Cookies. Other popular flavors include dark chocolate chip, sea salt chewy caramel, cinnamon Dolce bliss, salt & cocoa brownie, and more.

The upcoming Normal Heights storefront will be a perfect location for the company’s brick-and-mortar, considering it will get plenty of foot traffic from nearby businesses and Adams Avenue Park, only two blocks away. In the same area, many schools and organizations, such as the Normal Heights United Church and the San Diego Global Vision Academy. Coco &. Jules Cookies will sit across from Rosie O’Grady’s and Blind Lady Ale House and will only have to compete with Mariposa Ice Cream for the area’s best place to get a sweet treat.
