Liana Garcia, occupational therapist, and Chantelle Elliot, physical therapist, who work in the therapy department at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, were recently recognized by one of their patients for the exceptional encouragement, skill and compassion they consistently bring to caring for their patients and patients’ families in the hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation center.

The therapists’ patient said: “The sensitive, encouraging and effective care I received from Liana and Chantelle was completely over-the-top amazing. I looked forward to every occupational and physical therapy session. Somehow, they actually made them fun. The pleasant and productive conversations, coffee in the apartment and strolls down the halls. And the recliner was a godsend. They were the bright spots in otherwise pretty gloomy days. The many exceptional kindnesses and smiles will never be forgotten. Words cannot express my profound gratitude. If there are angles on the earth, I had the privilege of being cared by two of them.”
