Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8904 and the Auxiliary will host a wreath-laying ceremony Friday, March 29, 2024, to remember those who served in the Vietnam War.

The event will take place at the Veterans Memorial on the lawn of the 1885 Historic Courthouse ion Center at 10:00 a.m.

The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 was signed into law by 45th U.S. President Donald J. Trump, designating every March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On March 29, 1973, 51 years ago, the last US Combat Troops departed Vietnam, and Hanoi released the last of its acknowledged prisoners of war.
