NEWBERRY — The Newberry Academy Eagles(3-2, 1-1 region) varsity baseball team is rolling into the first full week of spring on a three game win streak.

The streak started on March 14 when they defeated Laurens Academy on the road in a shutout 10-0 victory. Then, they scored their second highest run total in a game this season with a 9-5 victory over Oconee.

The Eagles avenged an early season loss to Wardlaw with 7-6 victory at home on March 21. Head Coach Ronny Bannister, or “Coach B”, is showing why he was the best coach to help turn the program around.

Newberry Academy will try to extend their win streak against King Academy on March 25 and against Richard Winn Academy on March 27. Both games will be played on the road.
