What to Do in Tahoe This Weekend

It may not be all sunshine and tulips this weekend, but there will definitely be some good snow to be had. There are also some interesting events this weekend around Tahoe.

Friday 3/29:

• Under Lake Tahoe: Discover the History of What Lies Beneath at the Gatekeeper Museum in Tahoe City
• You ever wonder what’s at the bottom of Tahoe?
• I think Tahoe Tessie is down there
• Jacques Cousteau may agree
• Silver Belt Classic at Sugar Bowl starts and runs through Sunday
• A classic Sugar Bowl race makes its return this weekend
• It’s a must see big mountain/freeride event

• Kirkwood Full Send Fridays
• It’s a three day weekend every weekend at Kirkwood
• The Gatorade team will be up there keeping the vibe high and giving away free goodies
• Ski Till 6 at Mt. Rose
• Every Friday through the spring ski till six at Rose

Saturday 3/30:

• Heavenly Pride Day
• A day of celebration, music, and fun
• Team Whisky Bonanza
• One of the largest whisky and outdoors events in the world at Stateline
• Alpenglow Expeditions Intro at Palisades
• Sign up and take an intro into mountaineering class with Tahoe mountain guides
• Live music on Palisades Alpine deck
• Live music at Palisades Village
• Steep 16 at Mt. Rose**
• The Steep 16 has been rescheduled for April 6 due to incoming snow
• Ski all of the Chutes at Mt. Rose and win some gear and bragging rights

Sunday 3/31:

• 9 Ball Pool Tourney at Pete n Peters
• One of the best bars in Tahoe City
• Watch out, there might be some sharks out there
• Alpenglow Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue Course at Palisades
• An intermediate mountaineering class with Tahoe mountain guides
• Bluegrass Jam at Alibi Ale Works in Truckee
• Enjoy your Sunday evening with some good brew and a nice jam session
