49ers have interest in veteran Bengals receiver [report]

The San Francisco 49ers may have a few more moves to make. While most of free agency has concluded, there are some things still percolating.

According to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic, San Francisco has registered interest in longtime Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd.

The following comes from Kaboly's latest piece :

"Boyd has at least had preliminary interest from the Chiefs, Chargers, Dolphins, Lions and 49ers. I am pretty sure the ship with the Steelers has sailed."

A move for Boyd wouldn't make much sense at this juncture, unless the 49ers were to trade Brandon Aiyuk (or Deebo Samuel).

Boyd, 28, has been a steady presence with the Bengals, racking up 513 receptions for 6,000 yards and 31 touchdowns over eight seasons. He has almost exclusively been a slot receiver, which would be at odds with what Jauan Jennings provides.
