Josie Donelson named Lake Oswego High School Athlete of the Week for Apr. 3

Donelson is a senior on the Lake Oswego High School girls’ varsity track team.

Specializing in the sprints for Lake Oswego High School’s girls’ varsity track team, senior Josie Donelson has been named Athlete of the Week for the week of April 3rd.

Donelson recently made headlines at the Florida Relays held at the University of Florida. At the prestigious meet, Donelson demonstrated her speed and skill by finishing third overall in the 400-meter race. Her remarkable time of 53.53 seconds not only secured her a podium finish but also established a new Oregon record for the fastest time in the event.

Donelson’s success at the Florida Relays adds to her impressive track record this season. Since the start of the track season, Donelson has consistently dominated her events, claiming first place in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 300-meter hurdles, as well as anchoring both relay teams.
