A Bangor man was fatally shot Tuesday morning in a homicide, police said.

Daniel Ford-Coates, 24, was shot around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday at a house on Highland Avenue, near the intersection with Ohio Street. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Bangor police said Wednesday afternoon.

His death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police said the fatal shooting was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.

Bangor police are working with the Maine attorney general’s office, Chief Mark Hathway said. Police wouldn’t provide any other information.

Just a coincidence that it was at 4:20? I can't be the only 1 who noticed that. I hope whoever shot him goes away for a long time!
