    Body

Charles Ezra Hutto (June 5, 1902 – August 22, 1983) and Luella Hooper (December 18, 1907 – August 21, 2001) married March 30, 2024. They were together almost 60 years before Dad passed.

They were not well educated, as most farm people in the early 20th century were not. Therefore, we never had a lot of money, but we never missed a meal and always had plenty of clothes and shoes to wear. I could never be prouder that I had them as parents.

They were just plain hard-working Christian people that brought us up in church teaching us morals, principles and respect.

Daddy was a farmer and a carpenter, raising most of our food, and producing silage for the livestock. They raised hogs and butchered a couple of them every . He used a team of horses for plowing until the year I finished high school when he bought a tractor. I gave him a hard time about that.

In his later years he worked at Atlas plywood (which became Bruce) for 14 years and retired in 1964.

The union produced four boys, three that were raised to adulthood. They had seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Both of my older brothers have passed making me the sole survivor at 83.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. I love you.
