People in the town of Carmel are demanding more information about a proposed lithium battery storage facility amid growing concerns about potential risks.

Residents are particularly worried about the possibility of fires and explosions similar to those experienced in the town of Warwick in October 2023.

The town council has stated that comments regarding the project can be shared at the planning board meeting scheduled for next week.

However, despite many residents expressing their concerns, the proposed project is not currently on the agenda for the upcoming planning board meeting next Thursday.
