12 riders—4 women and 8 men—competed in a new venue in the Selkirk Tangiers tenure, a rolling face called Mosquito Bowl. ( Here's a little beta about the area. ) The contest went down the day after qualifiers the second week of March. The quick turnaround was due to a forecasted temperature warm-up and means that the riders had photos and ONX Backcountry mapping tools but no boots-on-the-ground scout day for the venue. So, this finals day necessitates even more tenacity when on-sighting, no light task but something these best-in-class riders take head-on.

The competition begins with men's quarterfinals and women's semis.
