Christina Perri is no stranger to singing about her emotions, but talking about them is what she finds most helpful to maintain a positive mental health space.

During her recent appearance at Audacy’s Leading Ladies, Perri opened up about the importance of talking about mental health and being there for one another through the tough times.

“Talking about mental health makes me feel seen and heard and understood,” she expressed. “I also feel like it’s important for me to be a voice for other people who need to feel seen and heard.”

A big believer that talk saves lives, Perri also shared that sharing your story and emotions can help others who might be feeling alone in their own struggle.

“Truthfully, I feel sharing is the best way to combat some of these things we go through because so many people are going through the same thing and you don’t even know that unless you talk about it.”

Audacy's I’m Listening initiative aims to encourage those who are dealing with mental health issues to understand they are not alone. If you or anyone you know is struggling with depression or anxiety, know that someone is always there. Additionally, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 988.
