Jackson Dean had his own cool experience to reflect on after an excursion with Rock The Ocean Foundation earlier that morning where he got to tag sharks. The foundation is one Tortuga Music Festioval works closely with in an effort to increase public awareness about the issues impacting the world’s oceans and to support scientific research, education, and ocean conservation initiatives.

“We had a morning, man,” he said reflecting on the experience catching a shark that brought him back to his sea boat days with his family. “It was pretty dope. It was a sandbar shark — those things are gnarly.” Catching a shark wasn't the only exciting news Dean had to share -- he also revealed his sophomore album is in the works and will feature "16 or 17" new songs. Hear about it below.
