Veuve Clicquot is known around the world for its famous 'yellow label'—a Champagne so engrained into the mind of the drinking populous that its label color supersedes the property where it is produced. Their La Grande Dame Rosé 2015 is an expression of Madame Clicquot's character, energy, and passion for Pinot Noir. Back in 1818, she broke tradition by blending her beloved red wine from the 'Clos Colin' parcel with white wine, creating the world's first blended rosé champagne. This remains an innovation that is still moving the needle in the region to this day.
To commemorate the release of this new vintage rosé, Veuve Clicquot and Italian artist Paola Paronetto are thrilled to open a new chapter in their collaboration where the passion for color meets the drive for technical excellence. The new pink case joyfully joins the rest of the colorful La Grande Dame 2015 collection, continuing to bring Veuve Clicquot’s message of optimism to the world.
“La Grande Dame 2015 Rosé is the essence of Madame Clicquot: the perfect expression of her force of character, her energy, her creativity and above all, her love of Pinot Noir.” -Didier Mariotti, Cellar Master of Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot's latest rosé cuvée harmoniously blends the sun-filled 2015 vintage with the precision, depth, and character of still Pinot Noir red wine from a region that's gaining momentum for their reds. Spice notes such as pepper, nutmeg, and clove, intertwine with the delicate aromas of red fruit, as well as floral hints of rose and violet to intoxicate your senses are you dive in for another sip. It'll be hard not to dive into this bottle immediately, but keep in mind it has the bones to age for at least one to three decades when kept in a quiet, dark, and cold place while you live life and try your best not to pop that cork.
