Kyle Bille announced his plans to run in the special election for the open Robbinsdale City Council seat in Ward 2.

Bille said he, his co-parenting partner who grew up in Robbinsdale, and two daughters love living in Robbinsdale, especially for the outdoor recreation opportunities.

“Let’s make Robbinsdale a benchmark for other cities,” Bille said. “I feel that the current mayor and City Council are doing a fantastic job, pointing us in the right direction. It will be my honor to work for the citizens of Robbinsdale, building on the foundations they have set in place.”

Bille told the Sun Post he’s had a variety of occupations, including working in the tech field, four-star restaurants, and today is a carpenter. Bille is a member of the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 322.

“In all of my roles, I was a leader, role model, and an asset for the business, while wearing many hats and doing what needed to be done,” Bille said. “I am committed to be a responsible steward of our community and our tax dollars. I am committed to keeping us safe while also modernizing for the future.”

The election is to complete the term of former Council Member Sheila Webb, who stepped down in October . Robbinsdale residents in Ward 2, who represent northeastern Robbinsdale, can vote on Tuesday, May 14 in the special primary.
