Yonkers Arts Weekend: Celebrate Art and Creativity!

Get ready to experience a weekend brimming with celebration, creativity, and joy at the 10th annual Yonkers Arts Weekend. This event will take place from Saturday, May 4 to Sunday, May 5. It provides artists with the opportunity to showcase their talents, connecting with individuals within and outside of the art world.

Background and mission

Yonkers Arts, a non-profit organization situated in the Carpet Mills Arts District, established itself in 2007. A community of artists and leaders founded it with the aim to create an inclusive and immersive space. Notably, it is a space for visual and performing arts to coexist. It empowers creators and those who experience their work.

Encouraging artistic diversity

Yonkers Arts actively encourages artists of all ages and backgrounds to inspire one another. Additionally, the organization emphasizes the importance of using the exposure to further strengthen one's artistic style, techniques, and art portfolio. Yonkers Arts motivates artists to embrace their creative expression to bring about positive change within themselves and their community.

Artist showcase and volunteer opportunities

Yonkers Arts is currently accepting applications from artists interested in participating in this year's Artist Showcase. In addition, the organization is seeking volunteers to help ensure the vibrant success of Yonkers Arts Weekend.

The deadline to submit artwork and volunteer applications is Sunday, April 14. Artwork and applications can be submitted via email at director@yonkersarts.org or through direct messaging via Instagram and Facebook .
