A beloved Venezuelan eatery is relocating from West Roxbury to Jamaica Plain . Viva Mi Arepa will soon find its new home at 270 Center Street , taking over the former site of Il Panino.

This relocation follows the sale of Viva Mi Arepa’s current West Roxbury building by its landlord to a Walpole developer. The developer intends to construct a five-story, 30-unit apartment building, replacing not only Viva Mi Arepa but also several other eateries on Grove St.

While What Now Boston did not speak directly to Viva Mi Arepa owner Edner Trenteetun , manager Lady Marcelluy confirmed the move, stating, “We still have a lot to work on and may need to make changes to the current menu.”

Despite possible menu adjustments, fans of the West Roxbury restaurant can look forward to the same authentic Venezuelan arepas and stews at the new Jamaica Plain locale. In addition to its signature dishes, the current Viva Mi Arepa location offers empanadas, cachapas, tequeños, and an array of Venezuelan sides and desserts.

Be sure to follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on further developments and grand opening day details.
