    Massive Mud, Rockslide Closes Road in Malibu

    MALIBU, Calif., Apr. 14 (KNN) — A massive mud and rockslide that included large boulders closed a roadway in the city of Malibu late Sunday afternoon.

    Caltrans responded to the area of Grand View Drive and South Topanga Canyon Boulevard around 5:38 p.m. for the reported slide.

    Both northbound and southbound lanes are closed for two and a half miles by Caltrans due to the debris covering and blocking the roadway.

    A flashing road sign near the shoulder of the roadway read: “Topanga No PCH Access.”

    It is unknown at this time when the road will be open to traffic.
