Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt get Taylor Swift's approval of 'SNL' version of 'All Too Well'

With shout-outs at Coachella, SNL , and her upcoming album drop on April 19, Taylor Swift has already had a busy week.

This past Saturday, Ryan Gosling brought hysterics (and a Swiftie-worthy heartbreak) to his monologue as SNL guest host. But before all that, the actor admitted he had moved on from the Barbie movie, even if fans loved his character and anthem, “I’m Just Ken.”

“Ken and I, we had to break up. We went too deep. And it’s over,” he joked in the monologue. “Letting go feels like a breakup, and for processing a breakup, there’s really only one thing that can help: the music of the great Taylor Swift .”

The actor then began a rendition of “All Too Well” while wearing Ken’s over-the-top fur coat and black sunglasses. But, after receiving some flack from Oppenheimer actress Emily Blunt , Gosling quickly jumped to his Barbie character’s defense. Calling back the famous Barbenheimer feud, the actors eventually laid down their swords and duetted Swift’s song as a way to say "goodbye" to the pop culture frenzy. And yes, even Swift herself enjoyed it. “All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version)!!!” the singer posted on X. “Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour. This monologue is EVERYTHING”

Though she reposted a clip of the show, Taylor Swift didn’t watch SNL as it aired live. She was much busier at Coachella 2024 , enjoying the sets of friends and collaborators like Bleachers and Ice Spice (who, to the singer’s surprise, threw their "Karma" collab into her setlist). Swift was reportedly living it up throughout the weekend, including makeout dance sessions with boyfriend Travis Kelce , walking around backstage, and even being lifted in the air by Kelce to get a better crowd view of DJ Dom Dolla . “It looked like they were having the best time and very much in love,” an onlooker told US Weekly .

Taylor also managed to sneak into some Coachella crowds and blend right in, which was surely a welcomed break from her normal security-escorted routine. A break may be needed considering she’s releasing her newest The Tortured Poets Department album this coming Friday, and amid the Eras Tour no less.

Swift has been dropping hints on social media per usual, including yesterday’s ex-fueled lyric tease , “I wish I could un-recall how we almost had it all.”
