Crivitz girls knock out Kingsford in five innings

CRIVITZ — The Crivitz softball team rode a big first inning to a 14-4, five-inning smothering of Kingsford in non-conference play on Monday.

The Lady Wolverines scored eight runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back, plating another three in the third to make it an 11-4 game before scoring insurance runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings.

Hattie Frievalt had two RBIs and walked twice for the Lady Wolverines. Kiya Brand and Isabella Logan both had multi-hit games.

Taryn Tracy was the winning pitcher after working all five innings and giving up six hits, four runs (two earned) and three walks along with six strikeouts.
