Are GOP legislators being targeted by TSA when flying?

After Congressman William Timmons joined the Tara Show Wednesday morning to talk about a recent reported incident he had with TSA agents at GSP airport, another Congressman from the Upstate says he's experienced the same.

A spokesman for Congressman Duncan says Duncan has experienced increased “random” ID screening, metal detector alarms, additional screening and pat downs. The instances seem to have increased after January 6th, 2021.

The statement says For Congressman Duncan, these increased screenings and pat downs occur most often at GSP. The Congressman has also heard from colleagues that have had similar experiences when flying.

This begs the question, are GOP legislators being targeted by TSA?
