Auburn forward Johni Broome will return to the Tigers' basketball program for his final season. It was a huge announcement for head coach Bruce Pearl after he led Auburn to the third SEC Tournament title in program history last season.

Broome became the second consensus All-American selection in program history in 2023. He averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for the Tigers. Broome also earned first-team All-SEC honors and was named to the All-SEC Defensive Team.

Over two seasons, Broome started in 67 of his 68 career games with the Tigers. He averaged 15.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He was also a candidate for the Naismith and John R. Wooden National Player of the Year awards.

Broome started his career at Morehead State, where he was a two-time All-OVC selection for the Eagles. He was also named the 2020-21 OVC Freshman of the Year and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors during the 2021-22 season.
