Preserving and restoring Yachats Ridge

The Yachats Academy of Arts and Sciences is hosting a presentation featuring John Theilacker and Joanne Kittel, co-chairs of View the Future, a local land trust. This educational event will shed light on the mission of preserving and restoring Yachats Ridge, a coastal landscape spanning more than 1,100 acres.

Scheduled for Sunday, April 21, at 3 p.m. at the Yachats Commons, this presentation offers an opportunity for the community to engage with the efforts aimed at safeguarding Yachats Ridge, which serves as a backdrop to Yachats.

Attendees will learn about the history and ecological significance of Yachats Ridge while gaining insights into View the Future’s commitment to land and cultural preservation in the area. The presentation will also highlight the ongoing initiatives aimed at protecting and restoring the ridge for future generations to enjoy.
