Early voting in cities, schools starts April 22

Several important school district and municipal elections are scheduled for May 4 with early voting starting Monday.

Granite Shoals, Marble Falls and Meadowlakes as well as a water district and Kingsland Municipal Utility District will hold elections.

Early voting starts Monday, April 22, and ends Tuesday, April 30. For those elections occurring in Burnet County, polls will be open during early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exceptions of Thursday, April 25. and Monday, April 29 when they will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voting on election day will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Llano County, the polls will be open for early voting in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, April 22 to April 26, and Monday and Tuesday, April 22 and 23.

April 23 is the last day to request an absentee ballot.

Marble Falls

In Marble Falls, Griff Morris is running unopposed for city council, Place 1; Lauren Haltom is running unopposed for city council, Place 3 and William D. (Dee) Haddock, John S. Davis and Richard Westerman are running for city council, Place 5.

Meadowlakes

In Meadowlakes, Mark Bentley and Aaron Codispoti are running for mayor, Mike Barry, Don Wheeler are running for city council Place 1, Jerry Drummond and Carolyn Richmond are running for Place 3.

Cimarron Shores Board The Cimarron Shores Water Control and Improvement District will hold a "confirmation, directors and maintenance tax election” May 4.

Proposition A. The confirmation of the creation of the Cimarron Shores Water Control and Improvement District.

Directors. Five names will appear on the ballot for confirmation as district directors including, Ramesh Adusumilli, Siva N. Chandu, Venkata Kishore Gadde, Srini Kamana, Ravindra Babu Kongara.

Proposition B. The imposition and levy of a maintenance tax in amount not to exceed $1.20 per $100 of assessed valuation by Cimarron Shores Water Control and Improvement District.

Kingsland MUD

The Kingsland Municipal Utility District Board of Directors May election includes Josh Caropepe, David Travers and Lewis Young running for Place 1. Dianne Wolfington is running unopposed for Place 2.

Sunrise Beach

Rob Hardy and John Schwin vie for the mayoral seat in Sunrise Beach.

Llano ISD

Rob Wilson is running for the Place 1 position against Pamela Huston, and Dean Campbell, Reed Norman and Penny Wimberly are competing for the Place 5 trustee position.
