Yet another standoff in the Upstate has ended in the arrest of a suspect. It's the 3rd such incident in the area in as many days, and the 2nd in Cherokee County in less than 24 hours.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and SLED went to a home on Joy Dale Lane around 6AM Thursday morning to serve warrants on 19 year old Jayunta Breshad Epps.

When deputies arrived, Epps refused to come out of the house, but several others did come out. After a three-hour standoff, SWAT personnel used gas canisters to force Epps out. He exited from a window and ran through the woods.

After a short foot chase, Epps was taken into custody. Epps was wanted for attempted murder, armed robbery, and other charges after a robbery incident near Gaffney in May of last year.
