Golf: Vande Voort, Marsh lead Rice Lake at Sheboygan North invite

Ben Vande Voort shot a two-day total of 168 and Kellen Marsh finished at 169 to lead the Rice Lake Warriors golf team at Wednesday and Thursday's Sheboygan North Invitational held at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits Irish golf courses in Kohler.

Vande Voort carded 85 on day one and an 83 on day two, placing him in a tie for 103rd out of 214 golfers who played both days. Marsh shot an 86 for his first round and then matched Vande Voort on day two with an 83.

Max Tomesh scored 198 and Brody Lammers finished with a 200, which included a 12-stroke improvement between his first and second rounds. Rice Lake had Dylan Husak play the opening round and score 95 and Ethan Germanson played the second round and scored 106.

Rice Lake finished 44th out of 48 teams. Waukesha North won the invite title led by AJ Anderson scoring a two under par 142 to win medalist honors.
