The downtown was killed when they moved the Post Office and Library out of there, and Walmart came to town. They couldn't do a hardware store thanks to Menards, Home Depot and Lowes. Maybe a Mexican restaurant would work. Or, a music store. They'd really need a big draw to bring people back. I'd love a Dime Store with a soda fountain, like in my youth. Bring back "the good old days." And, a large music venue in Rohrman Park on the race track land that the town aquired. The County tourism board should look at that to draw money from the Region, and bring over some of that Illinois money instead of having our entertainment dollars spent across the state line.
