Reunited for Victoria Beckham ’s 50th birthday party, the Spice Girls served up an impromptu performance of “Stop” and lucky for us David Beckham recorded it.

All five members of the legendary 1990s girl group were at the momentous event. So obviously that meant, Victoria , Geri Halliwell-Turner , Emma Bunton , Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm , and Melanie “Mel B” Brown had to celebrate with a surprise performance, choosing to go with their 1997 hit song.

The surprise moment was recorded and shared by David Beckham on IG, “I mean come on,” the retired soccer star captioned post.

Victoria also shared the video on Instagram “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!” she captioned adding the hashtag #SpiceUpYourLife.

Mel B reposted the clip on her IG Story, writing, “About last night” and spiced things up by including the hashtag #tourdatescomingsoon. Which is something she's already alluded to earlier this year.

After forming in 1994, the Spice Girls became an instant global phenomenon just two years later, with their debut single, “Wannabe” in 1996. The group then went on hiatus in 2000, returning for a global tour in 2007, and again in 2018-2019, however without Beckham.

The last time all five women performed together was at the London Olympics in 2012. Having celebrated 30 years of Spice Girls this year, the big anniversary seems to have possibly enticed the girls to reunite in a more significant way.

As we mentioned above, during an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna this past January, Mel teased "some really good news in about a few weeks that involves all five of us.”

Admitting that dealing with five different schedules is difficult, she confirmed fans would be "100 percent satisfied" by this still unknown news. "And it’s going to be the gift that keeps on giving, without saying too much about it," she said, adding, "I’m going to get myself into so much trouble.”

Ummm “stop right now, thank you very much,” whatever it is, we don't care, it just absolutely needs to happen. And though it's been a lot longer than a few weeks, the "soon" indicated we'll only have to wait a bit longer. Until then, the surprise birthday party performance will have to suffice.
