State Class AAA champion St. Michael-Albertville dominated the coaches’ selections for the All-Lake Conference team with 10 of the 25 members.
The Knights coasted to the Lake title with a 6-0 record and sent 11 individuals to the State Class AAA Meet at Xcel Energy Center.
Wayzata, second in the conference standings with a 5-1 record and sent seven boys to state. Seniors Luke Koenen, 121 pounds, and Logan Swensen, 133 pounds won state championships. Swensen dominated the season from start to finish with a final record of 50-1. Five Trojans are on the All-Lake team.
Eden Prairie, third in the standings at 4-2, had one state champion, senior Terae Dunn at 170 pounds. Four Eagles made All-Lake.
Minnetonka and Hopkins tied for fourth in the conference standings with 2-4 record. Edina and Buffalo both finished 1-5.
Other dominant wrestlers from Lake schools include Chase Mills, Landon Robideau and Jed Wester of St. Michael-Albertville, Charlie Petit of Wayzata, Marco Christiansen of Minnetonka and Anthony Nichols of Edina.
In addition to naming 25 boys to the All-Lake team, the head coaches made 20 All-Lake honorable mention selections for 2023-24.

St. Michael-Albertville: Seniors Ian Schultz, Noah Torgerson and Jed Wester, juniors Landon Robideau and Jarrett Wadsen, sophomores Chase Mills and John Murphy, freshmen Grant Bergeron and Brody Bergeron and eighth-grader Lincoln Robideau.
Wayzata: Seniors Luke Koenen, Charlie Petit and Logan Swensen, junior Caden Wong and freshman Wyatt Koenen.
Eden Prairie: Seniors Will Diana, Patrick Kubisa and Will Sather and junior Charles Vanier.
Hopkins: Senior Logan Ross.
Minnetonka: Senior Marco Christiansen.
Buffalo: Senior Jacobee Scherber, sophomore Aiden Herbst and freshman Gabe Roehl.
Edina: Sophomore Anthony Nichols.
