Teacher’s do SO MUCH! The LEAST we could do is try to provide SOME SMALL PERKS!!! This is crazy! Teacher’s deserve more respect than this! We have a teacher shortage but we want to be so PETTY!

As a retired educator, and one who has looked up the very minimal cost of a fridge or microwave in use for a year, this is rediculous! Teachers have NO time to go elsewhere to use or get these items! Truth be known, they don’t get to eat for long- if any- anyway! There is always a lesson to get items out for, a student needing extra help, a parent to call or return a call to, A MEETING, a form to be completed and turned in, a question needing answered by a principal, fellow teacher, special Ed., counselor, secretary, etc…, money to be receipted and/ or turned in, lesson plans to be written, papers to be graded- recorded- entered in computer- etc… and SOOOOOO MUCH MORE! I can’t tell you the number of times I had no time on my so called “break” to go pee, check messages, eat or drink,etc…. How many times did I spend my lunch period correcting kids, teaching manners, opening food/drink items, passing out napkins, cleaning off tables, solving problems,-etc and never have time to eat!
