LOUDON — The Tellico Voices have been selected to perform at the World’s Fair Park Amphitheater, Knoxville, on Saturday April 27, at 2:45 p.m. — as part of the 2024 Dogwood Arts Festival.

Tellico Voices is the elite 20-voice ensemble of the Tellico Village Singers which has performed to sold-out audiences since its inception in 2017.

Tellico Voices produces beautiful and intimate sounds from a variety of secular music, drawn from Broadway, the movies, The Great American Songbook, jazz, Americana and patriotic genres.

“I am extremely proud of BOTH Tellico choirs that I represent,” said Tellico Village Singers and Tellico Voices President and Director Dennis Loy.

The Tennessee Amphitheater is one of only two original structures remaining from the 1982 World’s Fair. Renovated and reopened in late 2007, the Amphitheater is a wonderful concert venue, under cover from sun and weather, a press release stated.

“It’s going to be a wonderful place to showcase our vocal talent,” accompanist Barbara Schmitt and VP Jan Sampson said in a joint statement.

“We hope that our many fans will come out to support us in our first major arts festival performance, especially in a nationally ranked venue!”
