Buffalo Trace announced on Wednesday the official opening date of its new "brand home" in London's Covent Garden. The space will be open to the public on May 6. Tickets can be booked here .
"Opening Buffalo Trace Distillery London is a momentous occasion for our Distillery and we are thrilled to bring our experience to the United Kingdom," Buffalo Trace CEO and President Jake Wenz said in a news release. "At Buffalo Trace Distillery London, we'll offer a space for spirits novices and lovers to learn more about a whiskey type they are perhaps less familiar with - bourbon. Our aim is to inspire visitors to broaden their palates, and perhaps their cocktails, and we're hopeful after learning about bourbon and tasting it, they will add it to their drink list."
Buffalo Trace is offering two experiences at the new location: the "Taste of Trace" and "Tradition & Change: Crafting the Most Awarded American Whiskey." During the Taste of Trace Experience, guests will be able to sample Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Rye and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream while additionally receiving a mini Buffalo Trace and ginger ale cocktail. The second tasting is "a more intimate experience," according to the brand. Guests can experience Buffalo Trace's more premium whiskeys, including White Dog Mash #1, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare 10 Year Old and E.H. Taylor Small. They will also be able to taste a sample of a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned. Buffalo Trace says the prices of tastings will vary based on selection and will cost up to £34.99 ($44). The 2,000-square-foot space will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST, with reduced operating hours from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. News of the brand's intention to open the space in Covent Garden first broke in
    September .
"Many spirits consumers are more familiar with bourbon's global whiskey counterparts, and Buffalo Trace Distillery London aims to offer a space to learn more about — and hopefully fall in love with — our bourbon whiskey," Wenz said.
