Alpine to Host the 38th Annual Snow Golf Tournament

Weather a couple weeks ago postponed the highly anticipated snow golf tournament at Palisades Tahoe, but it looks like it’s a go for this weekend.

Sign ups are free the day of at 8 A.M. on Saturday the 27th. First come first serve. Get up there early if you want to show your Happy Gilmore golf skills.

They encourage groups of four so get your buddies and play each other for a case of beer, and they also provide a golf club and two tennis balls. Maybe bring your own if you’re a lefty.

The course starts at the top of the Summit Express chair, and winds down to the Chalet with ten holes on the way. Hopefully, you’ve been working on your swing because I haven’t.

The theme is Caddyshack. That means polos, khakis, retro 80s jackets, silly hats, and tight pants. The after party will be at the Chalet, so don’t spend all your energy on the links.

And yes, of course there are prizes.

There will be raffles going on from Yeti, Smith, and the chance to win golf for four at The Links at Everline right in the Olympic Valley.

Then, there’s the all-important costume awards. Palisades reminds you to channel your inner Caddyshack. I can’t wait to see the costumes.
