Amanda Seales Defends Angel Reese After Emmanuel Acho’s “Disgusting” Comments About Her Post-Game Interview

Amanda Seales didn’t hold back while speaking about the backlash Angel Reese received for her emotional post-game interview after LSU’s loss to Iowa in the NCAA tournament.

If you remember Angel Reese was very emotional during her post-game press conference when she revealed that she’s received death threats, and been sexualized, and cited that she hasn’t had peace since she won a national championship last year. After clips of the interview began to surface online, sports analysis Emmanuel Acho made some shocking comments about her that made him receive a lot of backlash. “Angel Reese, you can’t be the big bad wolf and then kind of cry like Courage the Cowardly Dog,” Acho said on a previous episode of SPEAK. “Nobody mourns when the villain catches an L, and, Angel Reese, you’re self-proclaimed to be the villain. Shoutout to you because you were the second-best basketball player on the court [against Iowa], and it was not close,” he continued.

Well, Amanda Seales recently sat down with Shannon Sharpe and slammed the sports analysis for making those “disgusting” comments. “She is a young person do you know how disgusting that is and that cornball a** n——a who loves to make himself look like the white people savor. Come talk to me white people I’m the black guy that’s nice. Cut it out it’s ridiculous,” she said while making an appearance on Club Shay Shay.

Acho never apologized for his comments but he did respond to the criticism he received and took to social media to thank those who he said “respectfully reprimanded” him.

“I do not stand on a hill saying that I am right and you are wrong,” he said. “I simply stand on a place saying: ‘Hey, this is what I believe. What do you believe? Let’s listen to one another and construct our collective beliefs.’”

Angel Reese hasn’t addressed his comments either, instead, she just ignored the comments and stayed focused on the WNBA draft where she was drafted as the No. 7 overall pick to the Chicago Sky. Her season is set to start next month so the world will see how she adjusts to being a professional basketball player.
