Keith Boles was named the Dew ISD Interim Superintendent effective Tuesday, April 16, at the Dew ISD School Board meeting on Monday night, April 15.

When asked how excited he was to serve as the Dew ISD interim Superintendent, Boles said, “It is always exciting to enter a new district. I always look forward to meeting the staff, students, and community.”

Boles is originally from Cooper, and currently resides in West.

He graduated from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M-Commerce) with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Boles spent 32 years in education before retiring in 2019.

He served as a superintendent for 22 of those years.

His first 10 years in education were spent as either a teacher, coach, or principal.

Since retiring, he has served as an interim superintendent for Jarrell ISD, Itasca ISD twice, Frost ISD, Florence ISD, and now Dew ISD.

Boles’s wife, Sandra, is an Education Diagnostician for West ISD.

His oldest son is the CFO for Tomball ISD and his wife is the Assistant Superintendent for Finance for Cy-Fair ISD. His middle son is a Physical Therapist in Tyler and his youngest daughter is a RN in Fort Worth.

Keith and Sandra have two grandkids with another expected in June.

In his freetime, Boles enjoys traveling and spending time on his “farm” with a little pickleball on the side.

Boles says that he will be working part-time in the district, two days a week, and assisting the board in their search for the next superintendent of Dew ISD.
