Delta Airlines Expands Global Reach with New Service to Brisbane, Australia

    2024-04-25

Delta Airlines has announced the launch of a new nonstop flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Brisbane, Australia. This expansion highlights Delta's ongoing commitment to strengthening its presence in the South Pacific region.

Building upon its existing offerings, Delta has significantly increased its services to Australia and neighboring destinations. In winter 2022, Delta introduced a second frequency from LAX to Sydney, which has since been upgraded to daily service, providing travelers with an impressive 14 flights per week to Sydney alone. The airline also initiated daily flights from LAX to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2023, followed by three-times-weekly flights to Tahiti in December 2022.

According to Joe Esposito, Delta's senior vice president of Network Planning, the addition of Brisbane will further bolster Delta's robust schedule to the South Pacific. Travelers can anticipate up to 17 weekly flights between the United States and Australia, marking Delta's most extensive service offering to the region to date.

The new nonstop service to Brisbane began Dec. 4, 2024, operating three times per week through March 28, 2025.

This expansion underscores Delta's strategic focus on providing customers with enhanced travel options and connectivity across the globe.

For travelers eager to explore the vibrant city of Brisbane or embark on adventures in the breathtaking landscapes of Australia, Delta's new nonstop service offers a convenient and exciting gateway to the Land Down Under.
