NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) announced plans to stock channel catfish in several community fishing lakes by late April. The locations slated for stocking include Cameron Brown Lake in Germantown, Cedar Hill Lake in Nashville, Dickert Pond in Chattanooga, Greenbelt Lake in Maryville, and Fountain City Lake in Knoxville.

According to TWRA regulations, anglers are permitted to catch up to 5 channel catfish per day at these locations. Additionally, other species and their corresponding daily limits include bluegill and redear (20 per day), black bass (1 per day), crappie (30 per day), and trout (5 per day). There are no size limits imposed on the catches.

The lakes will undergo restocking efforts again in May and June to ensure a sustainable fishing environment.

Anglers are reminded that a valid fishing license is required to fish at these locations. However, children under 13 years of age are exempt from this requirement.

For more details on fishing locations, instructional videos on fishing techniques, and tips on filleting catfish, individuals can visit the TWRA website at https://www.gofishtennessee.com/ .
