Lots of Free Samples From Interior Designers and Architects

Are you crafty? Do you like upcycling castoffs into new and beautiful things? Are you a woodworker looking for scraps? A quilter or sewer always on the lookout for pieces of quality fabrics? An artist working in multiple mediums?

ZeroLandfill Seattle is holding the perfect event for you. Not only can you find samples from a wide range of architectural and interior design firms, everything is free.

Boxes and boxes of tile samples line tables and the floor. They’re perfect for small tile projects and for making mosaic plant pots. You’ll find partial bolts of fabric and upholstery fabric samples, which are great for making cushions. Wood floor and paneling samples line the walls and carpet samples are piled on the floor. There’s more, of course.

I made the mistake of going one year without bringing a bag or box and they were out of them when I got there. They always have some on hand but it’s a really good idea to bring your own. And it doesn't hurt to bring a wagon if you plan on collecting a lot.

The event takes place on Saturday, May 4^th from 9 am to 4 pm at the Daltile warehouse located at 540 S Front Street in Seattle.

While it's great to get valuable stuff for free, taking things also provides a valuable community service. These things end up in our landfills when no one wants them, so you're helping more than just yourself.
