WATCH: Presidential Candidate Jill Stein Arrested After Tussle With Police At Wash University Protest Encampment

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and her deputy campaign manager were arrested this weekend after a wrestling with police at the Washington University student protest “encampment” protesting the school’s ties to Boeing, which activists accuse of supporting “genocide” for its doing business with Israel.

Stein confirmed to multiple media outlets that she was arrested at the encampment, and in an interview with KSDK News afterwards accused 2024 opponents President Joe Biden, former president Donald Trump, and independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. of being “pro-war, pro-genocide candidates.”

You know, it just it just felt like we have to stand up and call this out. And, you know, that that’s what our campaign will continue to do. We are doing this election to ensure that the American people have a choice in the voting booth. That we’re not just going to be presented with actually, three pro-war, pro-genocide candidates between Donald Trump, Joe Biden and RFK, who pretends to be a peace candidate but who is all for, basically the abuses of the Israeli government and makes no bones about it.

Over 80 protesters were arrested at the Washington University protest over the weekend, which was one of many pro-Palestine, anti-Israel protests across the country at colleges and universities.

Many of the protests have featured antisemitic messages and statement, prompting condemnations from some faculty, from members of congress, and from the White House.

On Sunday things got violent at UCLA when the “solidarity encampment” protesters crossed a barrier to take over part of the area where a permitted pro-Israel rally was taking place, resulting in multiple “altercations” and scuffles according to officials.

In a five-way race, Stein is polling at about 3% according to a new CNN poll that has Trump leading Biden by 6 points.
